Southall, who strongly feels that meeting the needs of leadership in education will make a significant impact for future generations of children and adults, serves as director of finance and conference manager for EPI. She is a member of EPI's Lead Team, Management Team and chair of the Summer Leadership Institute Program Planning Team.

Southall has worked in both education and business. As director of operations and finance with the New England League of Middle Schools, she worked for 20 years directly with its executive director to grow this nonprofit corporation into a nationally recognized organization. She also has served as a local and regional school board member for eight years.
