Gautier, a native of Panama City, Florida, received his bachelor of science in psychology at Florida A&M University and his master's degree in education leadership at the University of West Florida. For more than 35 years, he has served as a teacher and administrator, including coordinator of career education, coordinator of secondary social studies, ESOL director, and director of curriculum and instruction in Bay County Schools, Florida.
